Amalekites

The Amalekites were a nomadic people of the Negev and Sinai described in the Hebrew Bible as descendants of Esau's grandson Amalek and as hereditary enemies of Israel. Saul is said to have fought them and to have been rejected by the prophet Samuel for sparing their king Agag, and David raided them; they are not attested outside the Bible.
