Amarsinhji of Wankaner
Amarsinhji was the ruler, with the title Raj Sahib, of Wankaner, a princely state of the Jhala Rajputs in Kathiawar, western India, from 1881 to 1948. He modernised the state's administration and built the Ranjit Vilas Palace, completed in 1914, which mixes Indian and European styles. His rule ended when Wankaner was merged into the United State of Saurashtra in 1948.
