Amfissa
Amfissa is a town in Phocis, central Greece, below Mount Parnassus near Delphi. In the Middle Ages it was known as Salona, and from 1205 its castle on the ancient acropolis was the seat of a Frankish lordship, the County of Salona, held by the Autremencourt and Fadrique families until the Ottoman conquest at the end of the 14th century. It is now the capital of the Phocis regional unit.
