Aragón (river)

The Aragón is a river of northern Spain that rises in the central Pyrenees near the Somport pass, flows past Jaca and joins the Ebro in Navarre. Its upper valley was the home of the Iacetani in antiquity, and in the 9th century it gave its name to the County of Aragon, from which the Kingdom of Aragon grew.
