Asaba

Asaba is a city on the west bank of the Niger River in southern Nigeria, opposite Onitsha, and the capital of Delta State. In the late 19th century it was the administrative headquarters of the Royal Niger Company. In October 1967, during the Nigerian Civil War, federal troops massacred many of its men.
