Asopus (Peloponnese)
The Asopus of the Peloponnese is a river of southern Greece that rises in the upland valley of Phlius, south-west of Corinth, and flows north past Sicyon into the Gulf of Corinth. In Greek myth its river god was the father of many nymphs, including Aegina. Its valley gave the small city of Phlius its fertile land.
