Peloponnese
Morea was the name used from the Middle Ages to the 19th century for the Peloponnese, the large peninsula of southern Greece. It was divided after 1204 between the Frankish Principality of Achaea, Venetian ports and the Byzantine Despotate of the Morea, and conquered by the Ottomans by 1460. Venice held it again as the Kingdom of the Morea from 1685 to 1715.
