Bandung

Bandung is a city in the highlands of western Java, Indonesia, and the capital of West Java province. Under Dutch rule it grew into a cool hill town with planned Art Deco districts and a technical college, and was intended as a future colonial capital. In January 1950 it was the scene of Raymond Westerling's APRA coup attempt, and in April 1955 it hosted the Asian–African Conference, a forerunner of the Non-Aligned Movement.
