Bar-sur-Aube

Bar-sur-Aube is a small town on the Aube in the Champagne region of north-eastern France. In the 12th and 13th centuries it hosted one of the six Champagne fairs, held each spring, where merchants from Italy, Flanders and across Europe traded under the protection of the counts of Champagne. It is now known for the vineyards of the Côte des Bar.
