Lagny-sur-Marne

Lagny-sur-Marne is a town on the Marne east of Paris, France, which grew around the abbey of Saint-Pierre. In the 12th and 13th centuries it hosted one of the Champagne fairs, which opened the annual cycle each January and drew merchants from across Europe. It now lies in the Seine-et-Marne department within the Paris region.
