Baranja
Baranja is a historical region in the Pannonian Plain between the Danube and the Drava, divided since 1920 between Hungary and Croatia. Its southern part passed to the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes after the First World War, was annexed by Hungary in 1941–1944, and now forms part of Croatia's Osijek-Baranja County, while the northern part remains Hungarian.
