Person
Bellerophon
Bellerophon was a hero of Greek myth, best known for taming the winged horse Pegasus and killing the Chimera in Lycia. Sent by King Iobates on deadly tasks, he also fought the Solymi and the Amazons, and was rewarded with a share of the kingdom. Homer tells his story in the Iliad, and later legend tells how his attempt to ride Pegasus to Olympus ended in a fall.
