Antalya

Also known as Attalia, Adalia

Antalya is a city on the Mediterranean coast of south-western Turkey, on the Gulf of Antalya. Founded as Attalia by Attalus II of Pergamon in the 2nd century BCE, it became a Roman and Byzantine port and was captured by the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum in 1207. Today it is a major port and one of Turkey's largest tourist centres.
