Belvoir Fortress
Belvoir Fortress is a crusader castle on a plateau above the Jordan valley, south of the Sea of Galilee in present-day Israel. Built by the Knights Hospitaller from 1168, it is one of the earliest concentric castles. After the Battle of Hattin it resisted Saladin for a year and a half before surrendering in January 1189.
