Also known as Bernkastel

Bernkastel-Kues is a wine town on the Moselle in Rhineland-Palatinate, formed in 1905 from Bernkastel and Kues on opposite banks. Above it stands Landshut castle, built by the archbishops of Trier, and Kues was the birthplace of the philosopher Nicholas of Cusa. Its Doctor vineyard is among the most famous on the Moselle.
