Biafada
The Biafada are a people of southern Guinea-Bissau, living along the Rio Grande de Buba and the Corubal. In the 16th and 17th centuries their small kingdoms, such as Guinala, traded with Portuguese and Cape Verdean merchants, but they declined under pressure from Kaabu and the slave trade.
