Guinea-Bissau
Guinea-Bissau is a country on the West African coast. Part of its territory corresponds to the heartland of the Kaabu Empire, which emerged as an outlying province of the Mali Empire. It later became a Portuguese colony, and Portuguese remains its official language, part of the linguistic legacy of the Portuguese Empire.
