Bogolyubovo
Bogolyubovo is a village near Vladimir in Russia, founded around 1158 by Andrei Bogolyubsky as his fortified residence, from which his byname derives. Andrei was murdered there by members of his household in 1174. Parts of his white-stone palace survive, and the nearby Church of the Intercession on the Nerl belonged to the same complex; both are part of the UNESCO-listed White Monuments of Vladimir and Suzdal.
