Brades

Brades is a village in the north of Montserrat in the Caribbean that has served as the island's de facto capital since the eruptions of the Soufrière Hills volcano destroyed the official capital, Plymouth, in 1997. Government offices moved there after the southern part of the island was declared an exclusion zone, and a new town at nearby Little Bay is planned as the permanent capital.
