Brumath

Also known as Brocomagus

Brumath is a town in Alsace, north-eastern France, about 17 kilometres north of Strasbourg. As Brocomagus it was the chief town of the Triboci, a Germanic people settled on the left bank of the Rhine, and under Roman rule the capital of their civitas on the road along the Rhine. Excavations have uncovered remains of Roman buildings and baths.
