Buea
Buea is a town on the eastern slopes of Mount Cameroon and the capital of the Southwest Region of Cameroon. Its cool climate led the Germans to make it the seat of government of Kamerun from 1901 to 1909. After the First World War it became the centre of the British-ruled Southern Cameroons, which joined Cameroon in 1961.
