Cameroon
Cameroon is a country in west-central Africa on the Gulf of Guinea. It became a German colony in 1884 and was divided between Britain and France as a League of Nations mandate after the First World War stripped the German Empire of its colonies. Some scholars have linked the voyage of the Carthaginian Hanno along the West African coast to the region of Mount Cameroon, although this is debated.
