Bukhansan

Bukhansan is a granite mountain on the northern edge of Seoul, South Korea, now the centre of a national park. On one of its peaks stood a stele set up by King Jinheung of Silla in the mid-sixth century to mark his conquest of the Han River region, now kept in the National Museum of Korea. The Bukhansanseong fortress on the mountain was rebuilt under the Joseon dynasty in 1711.
