Cadmus
Cadmus was a legendary hero of Greek myth, a Phoenician prince and brother of Europa, who founded the city of Thebes in Boeotia, whose citadel was called the Cadmea after him. Herodotus credits him with bringing the alphabet to Greece. He married the goddess Harmonia, and in later life the couple went to rule the Illyrian Enchelei before being turned into serpents.
