Cape Cod Bay
Cape Cod Bay is a large bay of the Atlantic Ocean in Massachusetts, enclosed by the hooked peninsula of Cape Cod. The Mayflower anchored at its tip, in Provincetown Harbor, in November 1620, and the Pilgrims then founded their settlement at Plymouth on its western shore in December. Its shores were home to the Wampanoag and other Native peoples.
