Codex Bodley
The Codex Bodley is a pre-Hispanic Mixtec manuscript painted on a folded strip of deerskin, now in the Bodleian Library at Oxford. Read in horizontal bands, it records the genealogies, marriages and wars of the ruling families of Tilantongo and other Mixtec kingdoms of Oaxaca from the 10th century to the early 16th, including the career of the ruler Eight Deer Jaguar Claw.
