Oxford
Oxford is a city in England, home to one of the oldest universities in Europe. In the medieval period it was among the universities where Roman law was studied. Accounts of the Byzantine Empire note that Justinian's Corpus Juris Civilis, taught at Bologna, Paris and Oxford, became a foundation of European civil law.
