Sharaf al-Din Ali Yazdi
Sharaf al-Din Ali Yazdi was a Persian historian and poet of the Timurid court, born in Yazd. His Zafarnama ('Book of Victory'), completed around 1425 for Shah Rukh's son Ibrahim Sultan, is a polished panegyric history of Timur's life and conquests. It became the standard account of Timur in the Persian world and was later richly illustrated at Timurid and Mughal courts.
