Zafarnama
The Zafarnama, or Book of Victory, is a Persian chronicle of the life and conquests of Timur, written under Timurid patronage. Versions were composed by Nizam al-Din Shami and later by Sharaf al-Din Ali Yazdi. The Zafarnama attributes to Timur detailed involvement in urban planning, water management and commercial policy in Samarkand.
