Comas District
Comas is a district of northern Lima, Peru, in the lower Chillón valley. Before the Spanish conquest the area belonged to the coastal lordship of Collique, whose fortified centre, the Fortaleza de Collique, survives in the district. Since the 1950s it has grown from farmland into one of the most populous districts of Lima through settlement by migrants from the Andes.
