Coxcox was a ruler of Culhuacan in the Valley of Mexico in the early 14th century, known from Mexica chronicles. According to tradition he allowed the wandering Mexica to settle at Tizaapan as his vassals and used them in war, but drove them out after they sacrificed a Culhua princess, a story that leads into the founding of Tenochtitlan.
