Crocifisso del Tufo
The Crocifisso del Tufo is an Etruscan necropolis below the cliffs of Orvieto in Umbria, Italy, used mainly in the 6th and 5th centuries BCE. Its chamber tombs, built of tufa blocks, are laid out in a regular grid of streets, and many bear the names of their owners carved on the lintels of their doorways, a valuable source of Etruscan names.
