Bolsena
Bolsena is a town on the north-eastern shore of Lake Bolsena in northern Lazio, Italy. It grew from Volsinii Novi, the new town where Rome resettled the people of Etruscan Volsinii after destroying their city in 264 BCE. A Eucharistic miracle reported in its church of Santa Cristina in 1263 was linked to the institution of the feast of Corpus Christi and inspired Orvieto Cathedral.
