Also known as Bozen

Bolzano, in German Bozen, is the capital of the autonomous province of South Tyrol in northern Italy, where the Talfer meets the Eisack. A market town on the route over the Brenner Pass, it belonged to the County of Tyrol and passed to Italy after the First World War. Its museum holds Ötzi, the Copper Age iceman found in 1991.
