Dakar (Adal)
Dakar, or Dakkar, was a town in the Horn of Africa that served as a capital of the Adal Sultanate. The sultanate's administrative capital shifted from the coastal port of Zeila to Dakar and eventually to Harar. The moves reflected the Adal Sultanate's gradual reorientation toward the interior.
