Daroca

Daroca is a historic town in the province of Zaragoza in Aragon, on the Jiloca river. A Muslim fortress town, it was taken by Alfonso I of Aragon around 1120 and became an important frontier stronghold, with its own charter of 1142 and a long circuit of walls and towers that still survives. It was the centre of one of the main communities of villages of southern Aragon.
