Dinefwr Castle
Dinefwr Castle stands on a ridge above the river Tywi near Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire, Wales. Welsh tradition made Dinefwr the chief seat of the kings of Deheubarth, and the stone castle was built by the Lord Rhys or his sons in the 12th and 13th centuries. After the English conquest it passed to the crown, and the surrounding parkland is now in the care of the National Trust.
