Ensérune

Ensérune is an oppidum, a fortified hilltop settlement, near Nissan-lez-Ensérune between Béziers and Narbonne in southern France. Occupied from about the 6th century BCE to the 1st century CE, it shows a mix of Iberian, Celtic and Greek influences, with Iberian inscriptions, imported Greek and Etruscan pottery and many grain silos. A museum on the site displays the finds.
