Estonian War of Independence
The Estonian War of Independence was fought by the new Republic of Estonia against Soviet Russia and then the Baltic German Landeswehr. With British naval support and Finnish volunteers, Estonian forces drove out the Red Army in early 1919 and defeated the Landeswehr at Cēsis in June. The Treaty of Tartu in February 1920 secured Estonian independence.
