Eteocypriot language

Also known as Eteocypriot

Eteocypriot is the name given to a non-Greek language of ancient Cyprus, known from inscriptions written in the Cypriot syllabary between about the 8th and 4th centuries BCE. Most texts come from Amathus, whose people ancient writers regarded as descendants of the island's original inhabitants. The language is still largely not understood and has no certain relatives.
