Eudokia Palaiologina
Eudokia Palaiologina was a daughter of the Byzantine emperor Michael VIII Palaiologos who married Emperor John II of Trebizond in 1282. The marriage brought Trebizond closer to Constantinople, and John gave up the title of emperor of the Romans. She was the mother of Alexios II of Trebizond, and after John's death in 1297 she remained influential at her son's court until her death.
