FIFA World Cup
The FIFA World Cup is the international association football championship for men's national teams, organised every four years by FIFA since the first tournament in Uruguay in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946. It is the most widely watched sporting event in the world. Hosting it has become a source of national prestige, as for South Africa in 2010 and for Qatar in 2022, the first host in the Arab world.
