Fife
Fife is a council area and historic county of eastern Scotland, a peninsula between the Firth of Tay and the Firth of Forth. It takes its name from the Pictish province of Fib and was held by the powerful earls of Fife in the Middle Ages. Its towns include Dunfermline, burial place of Scottish kings, and St Andrews, the country's ecclesiastical capital and home of its oldest university.
