Scotland
Scotland is a country occupying the northern part of Great Britain. Roman forces campaigned there but never fully conquered it, as accounts of the Roman Empire note. The Acts of Union of 1707 united Scotland and England into the Kingdom of Great Britain, and accounts of the British Empire treat the union as combining Scottish commercial energy with English colonial access.
