Fulda
Fulda is a city in eastern Hesse, Germany, on the river of the same name. It grew around the Benedictine abbey founded in 744 by Sturm, a disciple of Saint Boniface, who is buried there; the abbey became a great centre of Carolingian learning and later a prince-abbey and prince-bishopric. Its baroque cathedral and palace date from the 18th century.
