Gaki Sherocho

Gaki Sherocho was the last king of Kaffa, in south-western Ethiopia. He resisted the armies of Menelik II until 1897, when Kaffa was conquered and he was captured and taken north. The kingdom was absorbed into the Ethiopian Empire, and he died in captivity years later.
