Galeshewe
Galeshewe was a chief of the Batlhaping in the northern Cape, South Africa, who resisted colonial expansion. He took part in a rising in 1878 and led a further rebellion in 1896–1897, after cattle were shot during the rinderpest epidemic. He was captured and imprisoned, and the Galeshewe township in Kimberley is named after him.
