Handan
Handan is a city in southern Hebei, at the foot of the Taihang Mountains. It was the capital of the State of Zhao from 386 BCE until its capture by Qin in 228 BCE, and a great commercial city of the Warring States period. Its resistance to the Qin siege of 259–257 BCE, relieved by armies of Wei and Chu, is one of the famous episodes of the era.
