Hikayat Patani
The Hikayat Patani is a Malay chronicle of the sultanate of Pattani on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula, probably compiled in the 17th and 18th centuries. It tells of the founding of the kingdom, the conversion of its ruler Phaya Tu Nakpa to Islam as Sultan Ismail Shah and the reigns of the four queens, and it describes court customs and ceremonial. It is the main local source for Pattani's early history.
