House of Commons of the United Kingdom

The House of Commons is the elected lower house of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, meeting in the Palace of Westminster, to which the government is responsible. Its members are chosen by constituencies, and its control of taxation and supply made it the dominant chamber. In 1903 its resolution on the Congo led the government to send Roger Casement to investigate.
